The brief:
The company had an existing website which was doing an adequate job in terms of displaying the properties available to rent on Menorca to private customers. The site was built in flat HTML which meant that any time new properties were added, Menorca Gold had to go back to the website designer and pay for amendments. The initial brief was to redesign the site to create more visual impact, include the facility for Menorca Gold to amend their own content and create an online booking and payments system, linked to PayPal.

The results:
The website was redesigned and now is not only visually more impactful, it has helped to create a defined, recognisable brand for Menorca Gold. The properties are displayed in a more organised and eye catching way, crucial in attracting online bookings. Availability can be checked direct online an e-commerce side developed. The 'back end' behind the scenes part of the site has been extended into a valuable business management tool for both Menorca Gold, the private owners who let through the company, and the management agent on the island, Realcare via a secure extranet.

A Google adwords campaign and search engine optimisation programme has been put in place which now returns Menorca Gold's site on the first page of Google results and the website was shortlisted for a Business Excellence Award in 2006 for the Best Use of E-Commerce by Bedford and Luton Chamber of Commerce.
